Autumn 2015

During a recent holiday, I drove through many different types of towns, villages and suburbs and there was one building that they all had in common, a community centre. This showed me the importance of the local communities having somewhere to come together and interact with each other, no matter which part of the world you are in.

It is exactly the same here at Christ Church Community Centre. We try to be at the heart of the locally community, by offering a wide range of activities for the local community to enjoy. These activities include, Good News Coffee mornings, a Film club, Mums and Tots group, Bumps and Babies group, Knit and Natter group and Sunday club, to name but a few. The Community Centre is also used by many local clubs, societies and businesses to offer many different events for the community that include Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and dance classes for children, while for adults there are yoga and Pilates classes, Towns Women’s Guild and Women’s Institute meetings and photography courses.

Please see the “whats on” page for full etails.

NEW Connect Coffee Shop @ Christ Church

In September, we will be starting an exciting new weekly drop in coffee morning on a Wednesday, which will open to everybody. There will be a play area for toddlers, a safe space for babies and expectant mums and tables for adults to meet together or just sit, stop and unwind with a paper. Please come along and join the fun!

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at the Community Centre or by telephone (07473028991), or by email ( or just pop in for a chat.
